Our little busy explorers
At Beststart Porchester Road this month we have been able to welcome a lot of new whanau into our centre and we have sadly said goodbye to some of our older children heading off to primary school!
But during this new season of change we have been able to celebrate some really cool events and explore some fun activities with our tamariki. At Beststart Porchester Road, we celebrated Holi together with some exciting powder throwing and some traditional food that the teachers made for out tamariki. As you can see through the photos our children very much loved this celebration!
While the sun has been out our tamariki have also enjoyed endless messy play and water play as they explore outside with their friends. We were able to make a concoction of water, corn flour and food colouring to make some gloop too! Our tamariki love to get dirty and were running over ready to join in on the mess. At Beststart Porchester our tamariki love exploring different textures and sensory resources, they thoroughly enjoy being outside and exploring these activities with their friends.
We love having a centre where our tamariki are free to explore their own interests and believe that we as teachers are here to encourage and extend these interests through the environments we set.
