Glen Innes is such a diverse area, rich in local landmarks and history, recognizing this we have incorporated regular excursions as part of our local curriculum. With the train tracks running behind us, surrounded by beautiful reserves and so close to our local shops and library, we are able to share this knowledge through a variety of trips ranging from journeys around our reserves to excursions into the heart of Glen Innes Shops.

For our very young tamariki, these excursions are about developing the skills of listening to their kaiako and staying with the group, for the older tamariki it is about exploring their environment and growing their knowledge of our local history.
