Kia Ora Whanau, and a warm welcome to BestStart Herewini Street Rotorua! Where we're the heart of the community. 

Meet Kathryn Gribble our new Centre Manager. 

For over a decade, Kathryn has been establishing and maintaining positive learner identities for many tamariki in Rotorua. Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning (Early Childhood Education) (Full Registration) and has been working in the Early Childhood sector since 2010. 

Being a mum to three busy girls, Kathryn has exceptional organisational skills, is great with babies, and brings a wealth of knowledge to the team and caregivers. Kathryn joined our Herewini Street team in July 2024 and is passionate about primary caregiving, developing strong learner identities for your tamariki, and fostering their Wairua (spiritual wellbeing) through a strong sense of Whanaungatanga (sense of belonging). 

Meet Simone Cummins our new Centre Administrator. 

Simone relocated to New Zealand in 2008 from South Africa and joined the BestStart whanau back in 2009 as a Teacher in Hamilton. Simone comes with a long history of admin experience, and a can-do attitude! Simone joined Herewini Street Whanau in May 2024 and is here to support you with all of your enquiries and admin needs.
