Our new fluffy puppy
This month we've had an exciting new addition to our Home of the Brave whānau, and his name is Toa!
Toa is our new fluffy puppy who loves going home with one of our lucky tamariki each week and having fun adventures over the weekend with them. Toa's first adventure was a road trip to Mangawhai over the Easter weekend with one of our amazing whānau who were visiting their granny. Along the way he had his first visit to te moana, had fun going down the slide with ngā tamariki and seeing a new brown calf.
During the weekend before ANZAC day, Toa went home with another whānau who had sleepovers, dressed up in matching outfits with one of our Home of the Brave tamaiti, enjoyed some gardening and cake baking. The following weekend Toa had a busy weekend celebrating a birthday, visiting the pools, and meeting one of ngā tamariki's new pēpē.
Toa plays an important role at Powells Kindy, he helps our whānau stay connected by sharing all of his amazing adventures that he has with each tamaiti and their whānau on StoryPark. All these fun experiences have opened up amazing opportunities to kōrero with ngā tamariki, mātua, and whānau. It has also encouraged whānau to engage more on StoryPark and strengthened our line of communication
