Our Official Opening
Huge thanks to everyone who came along to join us in the opening ceremony of our beautiful centre on Friday, 3rd May. It was our great pleasure to have Councillor Paul Young and our Deputy Chief Executive Fiona Hughes to unveil the plaque and officially opening BestStart Botany Junction. We are very proud of our tamariki for their astonishing performance in front of all the guests, they did extremely well and learnt all the new songs in just four weeks’ time. Huge credit goes to all our whanau for collaborating with us and assisting us by teaching these songs to their children at home.
After the performance and kai, all the visitors tried their hand at weaving, the activity set up for our guests. This activity links to our centre philosophy of respect, compassion and collaboration, where we all are committed to respect each other’s differences, demonstrate aroha in our practice and work collaboratively to provide the best possible learning and care environment to the children.
