Our Paddock Adventures
At BestStart Waihi East we are lucky enough to be able to utilise the paddock at the back of our centre.
We can take small groups of children who enjoy exploring the bamboo forest, collecting sticks and flowers for crafts, looking at the different insects they find over there, collecting grapefruit for the community stall, climbing trees, playing on the swings in the trees and running in the open spaces.
It is important to us that the children are able to get their hands on natural resources and be able to use these in their play. Ensuring we leave the paddock in exactly the same way we found it is an important message the children are learning.
