Our painting exploration
This morning the tamariki loved using different painting tools to create some pretty amazing pieces of art!
They discovered that their tools had a pointy and long end and used these to their creative advantage. Some tamariki also found that they could also drip paint onto their pictures, which created a different texture again.
There were a lot of conversations about the different pieces of art made and the different techniques used. The tamariki also had the opportunity to practice their fine motor skills as they used the different tools provided to paint their picture.
They also practised their turn-taking skills and negotiation skills as they waited for a spot at the table to have a turn to paint and took turns using the different paint colours.
These are skills we support tamariki to grow in their own individual ways and within play.
