Our pet dinosaur Steggy

Over the past few weeks, the children in The Jungle have been giving our pet dinosaur Steggy a bit of an operation. We had to set up a hospital and learn about the different ways we could heal him and help him recover from some of his injuries. The children got straight to work, wrapping bandages around the parts of Steggy that needed fixing. 

We then had to put some parts of him into plaster (using paper mache) to heal him properly. Steggy then needed a paint job so they children got to work researching what Stegosaurus' looked like and then what colour he should be. There was lots of discussions around how it is kind to help our friends in need and this sparked off a kindness project in The Jungle too! 

What great collaboration, teamwork, discussions and research came out of this little project.
