Level 3 Lockdown – a bubble of 10 babies. A little bit about what this bubble looks like in our room and what our teachers and children have been up to!!!

We have been having such as amazing time doing many different experiences in our small bubble.

Our children have been absultely enjoying songs and story time.

Our teachers took the opportunity of some sunny spring days and did mat time outside in our playground. Our Pukeko’s loved being outside, enjoying the beautiful spring weather and the natural world around them.

Their favourite part is listening to one our teacher’s playing the ukulele and singing along to it. Well done little singers, Kai Pai.

Their love of singing and reading links to two of our 16 areas of play – Storytelling and Music. Both of these areas are important in building language, listening skills which help them to build a sense of the world around them.

Bubbles is always a favourite and this young man loves to chase after them.

“Children experience an environment where their play is valued as meaningful learning and the importance of spontaneous play is recognised”.

One of our babies loves birds and was trying to say Piwakawaka but whenever our teacher said “Pi” she would dissolve into fits of laughter!

“Children experience an environment where they develop verbal communication skills for a range of purposes”.

We have also been doing zoom sessions where we engage with children who are still at home
