Our Sewing Club
BestStart Flatbush School Road organised a variety of clubs during the school holidays.
One very popular club was sewing! In sewing club, children helped to make scrunchies for their mums. Children learned math skills as they measured the materials, and also required gentle and precise hand movements. The sewing helped children develop their fine motor skills and also helped them to express themselves through their creation.
From selecting the fabric to putting the finishing touches, every aspect of this activity allowed children to be creative.
