Our special tea party
The children love to have tea parties at Beststart Onslow and today was a special tea party as we prepared the strawberry tea, baked the cupcakes with sand and flowers and then came inside to serve all of our friends with some of our delicious delicacies.
It was a lovely afternoon of working together, creating a very delicious menu and inviting our friends over to the cafe to join in the celebrations with us. The children are learning to run a cafe, take orders, serve their customers and create a menu of yummy treats to entice their friends into the cafe.
The children in the Kea Forest are really enjoying role play with cafes and restaurants in all areas of the programme and are looking forward to a visit to a "Real" cafe soon.
