Our Tinkering Table
Our tamariki at BestStart Totara Street love tinkering with items that have been picked up from our local op shops. We have a Tinkering Table where children have the time and space to tinker away at these items. This is important because it helps children understand how things are made, enables children to have focussed and unstructured time to explore and test ideas, and it's at the heart of invention. This keeps our tamariki engaged and they are free to exercise their imaginations.
