Our Very Own Bear Hunt!
This week in the Matai room, we've been having a blast exploring the wonderful world of puka puka (books) together! Our favorite book, "The Bear Hunt," inspired us to create exciting learning experiences filled with adventure and creativity. We've been using our imaginations to bring the story to life, using different textures to mimic the journey through long grass, thick mud, and a swirling snowstorm. It's been so much fun!
Working alongside each other, we've learned the importance of positive interactions and teamwork. Using our skills and strategies, we've reenacted our very own version of the bear hunt. We've taken turns being the brave explorers, searching for the bear while overcoming obstacles and solving puzzles. It's been a thrilling and engaging experience for all of us. Through these activities, we've developed our creativity and problem-solving abilities. We've learned to express ourselves, think critically, and cooperate with our friends. We've discovered that books can transport us to exciting places and spark our imaginations.
Our tamariki have truly embraced the joy of reading and learning through play. We've laughed, explored, and grown together, all thanks to our love for puka puka. We can't wait to continue our adventures and discover more amazing books in the weeks to come!
