Our very special new korowai
How blessed are we here at BestStart Paraparaumu when not one but two of our whānau do a private fundraiser to raise funds to koha towards getting our very own korowai made for the centre. They then turned up at the centre as a surprise to present this to us and told us the story behind it....... This is such a toanga as the kuia that made it for us was also the Early Childhood Educator of one of the parents when she was at kindy as a child. Our korowai is now proudly displayed and worn with such mana for our transitioning tamariki off to kura.
