Our Wheel-a-thon
Every year we have a wheel-a-thon event at BestStart Opihi. This year we incorporated this in to our Plunket Appeal fundraising and used this opportunity with all of our whanau together to raise money for a worthy charity and have some fun together. The tamariki absolutely loved having the chance to ride around on their bikes with each other in the open space at our local primary school and spend time with their family and friends. We had races for all ages and worked together to cheer each other on and show how supportive we all are. It was great to see our older tamariki that are now at primary school come back to join in the event and cheer on their younger siblings. This event is such a special way for us to all spend some time together and strengthen our community bond.
