Our Wonderful Faringdon Team!
Here at BestStart Faringdon, we believe in strong, recipricol relationships. Meet our wonderful team members, who show great compassion and care, and always strive for excellence. As a fairly new team, we recently reviewed our Centre Vision & Philosphy. Vision Statement: Aroha, Kata, Manaaki Love, Laughter, Respect & Care BestStart Faringdon – Nurturing lifelong learners
Our Centre Philosophy: At BestStart Faringdon, we strive to build respectful, reciprocal relationships with parents and whanau around their personal values, aspirations and beliefs for their tamariki. In doing this, our tamariki and whānau have confidence in kaiako, that their emotional, physical, social and holistic well-being will be met. As we build strong and communicative relationships, we aim to create a sense of belonging, a ‘home away from home’, where lifelong memories are made.
Our kaiako recognise that all tamariki are unique. We are an inclusive centre which supports tamariki to grow as independent and confident learners by being their complete selves, and encouraging opportunities for growth and adventure. Our kaiako are present and active when listening to tamariki throughout the day, learning and actively engaging with alongside one another. As natural learners, we strive to celebrate with our learners, giving them every opportunity to explore at their own pace and time, and be creative within their environment.
By creating a stimulating, nurturing and fun environment, we emphasise the values of sharing, trust, honesty and love. Kaiako at BestStart Faringdon are professionals with a mountain of knowledge about child development and early learning. We strive to provide an enjoyable, purposeful teaching curriculum that reflects individual tamariki interests and enhances a sense of Manaakitanga. By engaging in on going learning and professional development, our kaiako are on a continuous journey of reflection, knowledge, growth and improvement. We endeavour to support this with an environment that is collaborative with our natural and cultural environment, inclusive, engaging, nurturing, and age and stage appropriate.
We recognise the treaty of Waitangi as a founding document of Aotearoa, New Zealand and therefore aim to work with Māori Tangata Whenua.
We welcome all families and value the diversity of our community. We are eager to be responsive to the cultural heritage of each family and we welcome family and whanau guidance and support to meet this aspiration.
