Kia Ora, Namaste, Bula everyone! After spending many weeks creating costumes, learning songs and dances, on Wednesday 17th July, BestStart Tory Street attended WAM (BestStart's annual wearable arts and music festival) at Te Rauparaha arena in Porirua. At 11.30am we all jumped on a bus that came to pick us up and the tamariki loved the bus ride. It was very exciting.

When we arrived in Porirua after a very noisy trip, we saw even more tamariki from other centres. We got to watch quite a few of their performances before it was our turn. Everybody looked amazing!

We danced to a special Hindi song that one of our tamariki choreographed and sang a song which mentions all the cultures and says hello in other languages, we did the actions for it too.

It was so cool having lots of our Mums, Dads and whanau there to support us – thank you everyone!

Tamariki, you all did so well at WAM, we were very proud of you all!
