Our yearly gatherings
It has been such a wonderful year as things start to normalise and we can start having gatherings and getting together with the villages that help raise our tamariki. It is Father's Day, and we have been able to invite our whanau in for some morning of coffee and donuts. What a wonderful event it was, giving us the time and space to chat and get together once again. Our families enjoyed some Nespresso coffee along with some yummy donuts while we mingled. So fantastic to see all the families coming together!
Community and being a part of all the extended family is very important for us at Beststart Ascot. We believe that to raise a child, it does take a village, and we want to be right in the middle of that village, giving all our support. Therefore, the interactions and communication is an integral part of this process.
Through our links to the community, our tamariki learns about helping one another, sharing, empathy amongst a few things. We can be independent but being able to support one another is a wonderful feeling also. How do you enjoy time with your village I wonder?
