Paper 4 Trees Visit
We are very excited be receiving our 5 trees from Jaimie who is from Paper 4 Trees. Paper 4 Trees is a recycling paper initiative that Best-Start Papamoa Plaza are a part of. To enable us to receive these trees we have been filling our paper waste bins with cardboard and paper and then recycling them, we add up each month how many loads we have then add this to the web site, now we have been allocated 5 trees for our effort!
This is really important to our centre because we value Kaitiakitanga. ‘We empower tamariki to become kaitiakitanga/guardians of our environment’.
The Tamariki are very proud and are looking forward to showing manaakitanga (respect) to the trees as we grow them in our environment.
