Physical Challenge!
During the month of June the children in the Tipu and Pihinga rooms worked on extending their physical skills. The kaiako were able to extend the children's learning through creating different obstacle courses that enabled the tamariki to challenge their physical capabilities. At the beginning some of the children were a little hesitant. As the kaiako supported and empowered them their confidence grew and they were able to perfect these skills. The obstacle courses also provided opportunities for the tamariki to choose how to cross the different obstacles. The tamariki used their creativity by choosing to jump, roll or run at different points.
