Piki mai, kake mai ki Te Atatu Road.

At Te Atatu Road, we believe in the environment as the third teacher and take pride in providing unhurried and aesthetically pleasing learning environments that allow our tamariki time and space to discover, investigate, explore, create and have lots of fun.

We value agency, respectful interactions and kindness. We view tamariki as extremely capable who have the ability to make their own decisions and choices and should be empowered to do so.

We celebrate the diversity and the uniqueness of each individual child. We acknowledge the multicultural society we belong to and aim to incorporate each belief and practice.

We believe it takes a village to raise a child.
We are one centre and work as one.

When working alongside tamariki and whanau, it is vital to build trustful, meaningful and reciprocal relationships. We strive to understand and, where possible, incorporate whanau values and beliefs into our daily practice.

Developing a partnership between the centre and home will support the growth and development of tamariki and strengthen whanaungatanga between Kaiako and whanau.

We value te reo Maori me ona tikanga Maori and endeavour to incorporate it in a respectful and authentic way. We recognise how essential it is to integrate biculturalism into our practice. Embracing the knowledge and support from kaumatua and whanau within our learning community and the wider community will make connections between past, present and future.

We are committed to providing high-quality education with qualified teaching teams who are flexible, open to change and committed to ongoing professional development.
