This week BestStart Lemon Street has joined the movement to stop bullying and spread aroha and kindness!   Kōrero Mai, Kōrero Atu, Mauri Tū, Mauri Ora – Speak Up, Stand Together, Stop Bullying.  

We have been talking to the children about our environment being a place where all members of our community feel safe, respected and valued. We have put focus on children celebrating who they are and that it is ok to be different as that it what make you 'YOU'.  Doing kind gestures for each other and ensuring we are including all people into our games and activities.  

We have been reading one of our favourite books called "In my heart" which talks about emotions and feelings and how your heart feels when your happy, sad, hurt,etc.  On Friday we will hold a Dress Up Day where children will be able to come as or in what ever they want to celebrate them.
