Pinkalicious Day
At BestStart Opihi the tamariki/ children and kaiako/ teachers had a fabulously pinkalicious day fundraising for the Speak Up Stand Together Stop Bullying awareness campaign on Friday 20th of May.
Money was donated by our wonderful whānau and friends for a cake raffle and a "slime the teacher" event.
Our manager, received the most donations and smiled bravely as she was ably slimed by kaiako and one of our tamariki. The tamariki also had a choice of kaiako to slime.
Activities through the day included design a tee shirt, plenty of pink playdoh, pink balloons and of course we all dressed in pink. We had a lovely day and big thanks go to kaiako for organising everything, to the creator of the amazing cake and to all our families, whānau and friends for supporting such an important day. The tamariki have learnt about being kind to one another and how to be a good friend.
