Plastic free July

Plastic free July

Part of BestStart Lynmore's strategic goals is to support and encourage our learning community to look after our natural world.

We asked our whanau/families to join in the challenge to say no to single-use plastics this July. We gave them examples of plastic-free beeswax wraps, reusable containers, washable yoghurt bags, and no glad wrap.

Lots of our whanau expected the challenge and used different ways to wrap their children's lunch.

A big thank you to our Whanau/ families for participating in plastic-free July. We believed we saved the planet from another rugby field worth of rubbish. We saw many different ways to wrap our lunch, from paper towels to beeswax wraps.

Ka Pai, everyone, for your commitment to plastic-free July and saving the planet.
