Taking calculated risks are vital for tamariki to learn their limits and boundaries, recognising and appreciating their own abilities.  Because of this, the kaiako (teachers) at BestStart Marchwiel support tamariki to create their own challenges in the playground.  Older tamariki are also aware that they are the role models for our younger tamariki and so they are sure to test their ramps, slides and climbing structures first.  Tuakana teina relationships are enjoyed across the curriculum but are most obvious when our youngest tamariki start to use the equipment.
