Each year BestStart Raureka participates in the Annual Plunket Appeal. We look forward to this event, with many months of planning.  For us as a centre, it's not just about raising money for this amazing cause,  it’s the aroha (love) and whakawhanaunga (relationship, get together, get to know one another, make friends) that we embrace.  

We are so blessed to have such a supportive group of whānau and local businesses that fully support us through our Appeal. This year we were super excited to have Whānau  Āwhina Plunket Chief Executive Amanda Malu visit and to join us and our children for our Blue Day Fun.  

Alongside our Blue Day, we hosted an evening event. This is always a fun, filled evening, with food, prizes, raffles and of course lots of laughs. Together we raised a total of $2377.40. To date, BestStart Raureka has raise a total of $13,777.40 that has been donated to our local Plunket. We are so thankful for the amazing whānau and local community that we have, that give their time, donations, and support to allow us to contribute to Plunket and give back to our wonderful community.
