During our annual BestStart Plunket Appeal Week we sure had some fun. On Monday we had a Blue Day, with tamariki and kaiako dressed in blue. Another day we had a wonderful Teddy Bear’s Picnic, with tamariki bringing their favourite teddies or soft toys along with them for the day. It was a lovely day for the Nursery, Preschool and Kindergarten rooms to come together to enjoy a picnic lunch outside. We even had a visit from the Plunket Bear. He had plenty of cuddles to give and appreciated the honey sandwich we made for him to take back the woods.

The week ended with a Slime the Teacher Day. Throughout the week our whanau could vote for which teacher got slimed. Which ever teacher got he most donations, got the honour of being covered in goop! Jamie our head teacher and Jayne a teacher in the Kindergarten, both had the honour and with the whole centre gathered round, there was much excitement and anticipation to finally get the job done. The squeals of amusement and laughter said it all as the tamariki and kaiako enjoyed the event.

We had such a fun week supporting Plunket, a valued community service, and we look forward to doing it all again next year. Thank you to our whanau for all their support and donations.
