BestStart Rugby Park took the World Stage once again for our annual full Centre Performance at Murihiku Polyfest. There was excitment, laughter and lots of buzz in the air as tamariki and kaiako spent the morning fixing our hair and perfecting our voices and moves for our waiata to take Centre Stage. The bus ride is always a favourite part for tamariki and we had so much support from whanau and the community in the audience. After we sang our hearts out we returned to Centre for a shared kai with our whanau and a chance to celebrate our success and our journey. Through this yearly event tamariki experience an opportunity to be a part of their commuinty and culture as well as using gesture and movement to express themselves, build connections with people, places and things and most importantly embracing culture. I think you can tell from these smiles that we had a great time and we will of course be back next year bigger and better than ever. Taking the whole Centre to Polyfest has always been important to our whanau and community and it is just another way in which you will see BestStart Rugby Park living its vision and values of "making a difference together".
