We recently had the pleasure of hosting a special pop-up event here at our Māngere East centre, where our hallway was transformed into an engaging, hands-on learning space filled with creativity, connection and exploration.
Our pop-up stations were intentionally designed to invite whānau to come in, slow down and learn alongside their tamariki. With a strong focus on STEAM and self-regulation, families were able to explore a variety of meaningful experiences together. From calming yoga sessions and sensory play to creative drawing, bead-making, matching cups and memory games, each station offered something unique to support both learning and wellbeing.
We also had take-home packs available, filled with extra activities for families to enjoy together.
It was truly special to see our tamariki and their families so engaged, laughing, creating, problem-solving and finding calm together. These moments of connection are what strengthen our learning community and support a shared understanding of how we can nurture both the minds and hearts of our children.
Ngā mihi nui to all our whānau who came along, participated and embraced the experience. We look forward to continuing to create opportunities like this, where learning is shared, relationships are strengthened and every child feels supported to be exactly who they are.
