Pēpi exploring our town
Here at Beststart Te Aroha we love getting out and about in our community. Our pēpi also love being given the opportunity to get out and about. Here we are at our local domain, playing on the playground.
The tamariki love getting ready to go on a walk, and as soon as they see the green visits they know to start heading for the door. They especially love getting into our prams and heading off through town.
Our pēpi are always hugely popular with the people in our community, and they always get people stopping to say hello and waving. We also love making them smile when we wave back. We believe that getting out in the community is extremely import for our centre, it is part of our localised curriculum, and it is important for our tamariki to feel a sense of belonging to our community, and the town in which they live in. Its always fun going to the domain and sitting in the park and playing on the playground that they have. We take some big risks going down the slide, but the bigger the slide the bigger the smile.
