Preparing our own kai!
Learning alongside our community is a big part of our centre's philosophy here at BestStart Te Atatu Road, and we recently had one of our families come to the centre and help the children to prepare their own kai for a hangi!
It was an awesome learning experience for all of the children, some of who have not had eaten hangi before. Learning from others in the community helps our children to grow great life skills through these kind of experiences.
