Pukapuka Time!
On December the 4th, BestStart Balclutha were treated to a visit from author/illustrator Toni Hasler. Toni read her newest pukapuka in The Adventures of Hamilton Parka series.
This is Toni's second visit to us and she has promised to come back next year with her third pukapuka.
Our tamariki were interested in Hamilton Parka's story and asked many questions. Many of them knew some of the places Hamilton had traveled and were very excited by all the pictures. Our tamariki were very keen to hear and meet Toni, taking an interest in the amazing pictures and telling Toni about their cats!
It was wonderful to see the excited faces and several stayed to hear Toni read her first pukapuka from our library to them.
