BestStart Cashmere has a strong sense of whanaungatanga across the whole centre, with many of our children starting out in the Nursery.  In the nursery we strive to uphold these connections with the whole of the centre and really relish the chance to take our youngest tamariki out into the 'big' playground to reconnect with their siblings and friends who have transitioned into the toddlers room.  These outings provide the children with a sense of adventure, a chance to extend their physical abilities on the bigger climbing equipment, opportunities to build relationships with the other teachers, and of course time with thier siblings.   We see such genuine love and excitement to see each other before our nursery children are whisked away under the safe care of the older children.  These relationships also work the other way with some of the older children visiting the nursery before they head home.  These connections and opportunities to connect also means the children already have a sense of belonging as they transition into the next room.
