Relationships at BestStart Taradale

Here at BestStart Taradale, we value a calm and nurturing environment in our nest area. From 3 months of age, our infants make lasting bonds with our two key teachers. Starting their visits alongside their parent/caregiver they start to develop a sense of belonging within their new learning environment. Having caring, ongoing relationships supports all aspects of the infant’s growth and development.

We strive for an unhurried approach that lets their natural progression unfold at their own pace. As they engage in exploration, they begin to develop attitudes and expectations that will continue to influence their learning throughout life. Having new experiences provided they have the opportunities to explore all their senses and start to discover the world around them. From the ages of 12-18th months, they are ready to explore the toddler’s space, in which they have the freedom to discover and investigate another play space alongside their older peers.

This transition is supported by their key teachers from the nest, as they meet and bond with new teachers in the toddler’s space. Through responsive and reciprocal relationships with people, places, and things our young toddlers have opportunities to try out their ideas and refine their working theories.
