In the month of April best start, Manukau teachers took pride in teaching about the significance of Anzac Day. We taught children that Anzac day marks the anniversary of the first key military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the first world war. Children had the opportunity to become nurses and doctors to give treatment to the injured soldiers. Children were very kind and caring while putting bandages, icepacks, and medications to the officers.

This kind of opportunity provides children a sense of awareness that how much pain and suffering the army officers had during this battle and how they died. children make beautiful poppy flowers by using the stamp technique and hand painting. our children understand the significance of poppy flowers for the remembrance of the soldiers who have given their lives on the battlefield. Poppies grew on the battlefield after the world war ended.

We also displayed the  Poppy flowers outside on the road so we all can remember our brave soldiers.
