Reunited Again
Having friends is such an important part of life. As our children return to BestStart Dilworth Ave, they are so excited to see their friends again! We are seeing their delight, their smiles, their hugs and their usual comfortable daily interactions as if they haven't been away.
For children, making friends and interacting socially are vital parts of growing and learning. Through friendships and playing with others, children develop their social competence- which is basically the ability to handle social interactions effectively. Turn taking, sharing, responding to others and the ability to form and maintain close relationships are all developed through our play with and alongside others.
Friendships also enable children to develop confidence, self-esteem and their own identity.
How lovely it is to see our little ones, not only returning to centre life, but also coming back to their world of friendships and play!
