As we moved from level 4 lockdown to level 3 we were reunited with some of our tamariki. As kaiako (teachers) we have developed strong relationships with the children and missed them (and their whanau) dearly while we were away. It was so lovely to be together again and to see how much they had grown and developed. We saw new skills emerging and marveled at how much their interests had strengthened and continued while they were at home.

For whanau at home we continued to help them carry on their child’s learning by keeping in touch and providing activities that linked to our plans for each individual child. Once again it was great to get their fantastic responses.

We’re looking forward to reuniting with even more of our tamariki and whanau when we get to move into level 2!
