Celebrating the many cultures in our community and having family involved are important aspects of our philosophy here at BestStart Richmond Kindy. 

On 24 Jan 2020 we celebrated both the start of Chinese New Year and Burns Night. We enjoyed listening and dancing to a live bagpipe show and testing our skills with chopsticks while eating delicious dumplings. One of our wonderful parents made Chinese dumplings for the children to eat, and another of our parents shared his bagpipe playing skills with our tamariki. Today was a great cultural learning experience for all involved as we celebrated both Chinese and Scottish culture which are both a part of our kindy.
