Kia ora! Here at BestStart Springlands our prep room tamariki have been doing a lot of group physical games. Many of the tamariki have been playing physical team sports at the weekends, bringing their knowledge, and sharing it with their friends. Playing games has been a great way for our tamariki to feel a sense of belonging and pride in their culture. It is wonderful to see them learn about and participate in games of other cultures.

Ripper rugby is a favourite where the tamariki enjoy working as a team following instruction, learning to take turns, cooperate and share which are important social skills that are practised in group physical games. Ripper rugby allows the tamariki to release tension while having fun.
