Our vision- 'The beauty of this place lies in the cultures of the people' and at BestStart Tawa South we love to celebrate different cultures and the diversity our whanau bring to our centre.

Last month we celebrated Samoan Language in our Mahuri room. The team introduced various activities throughout the week.

Our children explored screen printing, collage making and creating their own version of island flower arrangements. They were exposed to different Samoan food such as - Panikekes, Chop suey and rice as well as Koko Laisa (cocoa rice). Mat times existed of Samoan stories, songs and dancing. At the end of the week, we held a 'Moana' day where our children came dressed Island-Styles! A day full of colour and fun!
