Samoan Language Week Opihi
The nursery our Kaiako planned and facilitated has lots of fun learning experiences incorporating Samoan patterns, symbols, words, numbers and colours during Samoan language week.
During these experiences, the tamariki had opportunities to develop their gross and fine motor skills further while being creative and expressive. They spent time interacting with each other during these group experiences, hearing a range of different words both in English and Samoan as they further developed their communication knowledge and skills.
We all spent lots of time together participating in a range of learning experiences that were of interest, as we further developed our relationships with each other while having lots of fun!
