This Wednesday morning we were so excited to go for our Fendalton School visit! It was Laura, Melissa, Peter, Sihan, Henry and Sasha’s first time going so they were all very excited to see what it was like!  We made sure we all had our jackets and vests on as it was quite a chilly morning, we warmed up pretty quickly as we walked down Fendalton Road though!  When we arrived at school we signed in at the office and then walked across to Room 14 where Mrs King and her class were waiting for us. We all sat on the mat and the class welcomed us, they even had a sign on the window of their weekly plan saying we were coming to visit them.  Mrs King explained some different activities we could take part in if we wanted but she told us we could explore anything in the classroom that we wanted! Mrs King loves having us and we enjoyed exploring the classroom and working alongside the Room 14 children (including Noah!)

We got to build some amazing constructions with Duplo and magnetic tiles and train tracks, some of us also made some birds with Mrs King as this is a classroom focus of theirs at the moment. Before we walked back to preschool we had some morning tea and Noah, Anna, Ruby’s sister Scarlett and Henry’s brother Joseph came to visit us.

We had so much fun at our school visit and we can’t wait until our next one! All of the children made us so proud with their amazing listening skills, the respect they showed the classroom and resources and the way they walked all the way to school and back without even slowing down! Well done to all of the 4-year-olds that came to school!

Thank you to Cynthia who came along for the walk to join Melissa so she could come with us!
