Sensory stimulation is linked to an infant or toddler’s emotional, cognitive and physical development.  All of their senses typically work together so that they can grow and develop.

In the Infant House we offer calming sensory experiences like snow in a bowl, play dough, bubbles and lying down outdoors watching the trees and our beautiful recycled mobiles gently moving in the breeze along with more physically demanding experiences.

While experiencing sensory learning we talk about what we can see, smell, hear, taste and touch.

Balance is crucial and there is often a lot of movement involved while our infants and toddlers create, explore and investigate the world around them. While doing this they make a natural progression through the developmental phases of movement from lying down, rolling, pushing up, crawling, pulling up and taking their first steps at their own pace.
