This year, to nurture a strong sense of kindness and manaakitanga in our tamariki, our centre embraced the spirit of Christmas in a truly meaningful way. We came together to collect food items and toys to support local families in our community.

With the wonderful support of our tamariki and families/whānau, we collected a generous amount of food and brand-new toys for those in need. The Salvation Army and Food Bank teams visited our centre to collect the donations and were incredibly grateful for the kindness shown by our children and families.

This initiative became a valuable learning journey for our tamariki as they explored the true meaning of Christmas — showing kindness and manaakitanga, giving to others, and caring for our wider community. Watching the children take pride in helping others was truly heart-warming.

A huge thank you to all our families/whānau for your generosity and contributions. Your support is making a meaningful difference for local families this Christmas season. We look forward to continuing our support for the local community, building strong relationships that have a positive impact on tamariki.
