Simply Delightful!
Fun times for all the children during the October school holidays here at BestStart Greerton, with different activities each day everyone could be involved with.
Dress up day gave the children the chance to come along and show us their favourite animal or character they liked and chat to everyone about it.
Face painting was a delight, we were lucky one of our teachers’ creative skills was put to the test and the children waited patiently for their turn, choosing what they wanted on their face and then showing it to all the other children and staff.
Science experiments were enjoyed by many, giving the children the chance to talk about what outcomes might happen and then see if that was the result. Everyone enjoyed taking turns along with sharing and talking to each other whilst doing the activity. The use of a marker pen on a plate and adding water showed delight on faces after they saw what happened when water was added to their drawing.
Outside activities are always fun, especially if the weather is kind. With water and sand play imaginations grew and many working together having fun. Even our little tamariki enjoyed water play and showing how far they had come in pencil sketching.
