Snow at Montessori St Albans!
How exciting was it to find snow when we woke up! What fun we all had. When the children headed outside to explore, they all loved seeing our playground's white wonderland.
We talked about how it felt, 'cold', 'icy', 'slippery', 'soft' they said. A snowball fight broke out, with everyone laughing as they felt the snow hit them. Once inside, the children loved using dye to add colour to it, and there were many excited children who discovered lots of new colours when they were mixed.
This was a great opportunity to explore our five senses. Seeing the snow, tasting it, touching it, seeing if it had a smell or sound. We have also continued to provide lots of icy activities with dye to see what happens. We would love you to come for a visit and explore this with us!
