So excited for adventure
At BestStart Bayfair we love taking children on excursions out into the community. One of our January trips was to Papamoa Library.
The children loved the bus trip. They saw all sorts of interesting things out the window including Arataki and Tahatai Coast Schools, the roads some of us lived on, and the supermarket where one of our nanas shopped. These sightings sparked lots of conversations about our local community.
The library itself was also fantastic. The children eagerly located pukapuka (books) that interested them. They then eagerly watched as the books were issued. Because we were using our library whispering voices, we could even hear the beeps that the computer made as it registered each book.
The trip was a great sucess and we can't wait for our next one.
