Recently, the nursery children have started to show a huge interest in learning about colours. This started after we displayed some hessian colour mats on the wall. The children will go up to them and point, waiting for us to name the colours for them. We have continued to expand on this through various art experiences, including cellophane stained-glass windows, paper collage, painting and drawing. Some of the older children will now bring objects to us and ask "colour?". We have also been learning our colours in Te Reo Māori and German.
