So much drama!
Family and dramatic play has been a huge focus in our toddler area at BestStart Taradale. Dramatic play occurs when children take on the role of someone or something else and act out their feelings and events. When children act out their own life experiences, it helps them to make sense of what is happening in their lives and the world around them.
All of this dramatic play is helping our tamariki to role play different people and characters, extending their developing social skills, understanding new concepts, being creative, problem solving, gaining confidence, cooperation, turn taking, and of course extending their developing language development … WOW, so many learning experiences!
