At BestStart Delta Avenue, celebrations bring tamariki, kaiako, and whānau together. From Daffodil Day to Father’s Day and the Teddy Bear Picnic, children explore play, learning, and aroha, creating lasting memories and nurturing kindness in everyday life.

Over August and September, Team BestStart Delta Avenue came together to spread kindness, happiness, and a spirit of collaboration through a series of meaningful celebrations.

In August, we honoured the strength and courage of those battling cancer by celebrating Daffodil Day. Our little tamariki, kaiako, and whānau united to raise funds for this important cause, supporting loved ones close to many of our hearts.

As September rolled in, we embraced Father’s Day with love and joy. An iconic lunch feast brought fathers and father figures together with our tamariki, who were overjoyed to share the day dancing, eating, and making precious memories with them. It was invaluable to celebrate these important role models in our lives.

Our holiday programmes created a wonderful space for children to explore activities that highlighted their talents, dreams, and sense of belonging. One of the highlights was the Teddy Bear Picnic, a magical day filled with imaginative play, social connection, and early learning, all wrapped in one cozy adventure.

At Team BestStart Delta Avenue, we believe these moments of celebration and play nurture aroha, helping our tamariki learn to spread love and kindness through social interaction, honouring loved ones, and simply having fun together.
